Dr. Michael Edward Hiller

Dr. Michael Edward Hiller has been creating beautiful, healthy smiles in Baton Rouge since 1989. He is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a title attained by only 20% of orthodontists practicing in the United States. Additionally, Dr. Hiller joined the faculty of the LSU School of Dentistry in 1999, where he serves as an associate professor in the Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

He is a graduate of Catholic High School and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Dr. Hiller earned his doctorate in dental surgery from the LSU School of Dentistry in 1987 and was inducted into both the C. Edmund Kells and Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor societies. The Louisiana Dental Association named Dr. Hiller the Outstanding Dental School Graduate from the Class of 1987. Dr. Hiller earned his post-doctoral certification in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the LSU School of Dentistry after completing a two-year residency in 1989.

The American Association of Dental Research named him the recipient of the Excellence in Dental Research award for 1989. Dr. Hiller is also an advisory board member of the Capital City Dental Study Club since its founding in 2012. Dr. Hiller is a past president of the Cortana Kiwanis club and has served on the board of directors for Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.

Dr. Hiller has been married for 30 years and is the proud father of four children.

Dr. Brooks Gilbert Hummel

Dr. Brooks Hummel is one of our orthodontist in Baton Rouge, LA

Dr. Hummel is a native of Monroe, where he attended St. Frederick High School and graduated salutatorian of his class. He then moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Following graduation from LSU, he chose to follow his father and sister into the dental profession and enrolled at the LSU School of Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Hummel served in leadership positions with the American Student Dental Association, the Christian Dental Association, and the Ozanam Inn Homeless Dental Clinic. Dr. Hummel was also inducted into both the C. Edmund Kells and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Societies. He was a recipient of the William S. Kramer Award of Excellence, the Honors in Research, and the Excellence in Dental Materials Research awards. Upon completion of dental school in 2019, Dr. Hummel remained in New Orleans and entered the graduate residency program in orthodontics.

Dr. Hummel and his wife, Courtney, met at LSU, where she was a Golden Girl. They were married in 2015 and have two young children, a son, Malcolm, and a daughter, Rosie. Dr. Hummel and Courtney are active members of their church parish, St. Aloysius Catholic Church, in addition to serving college students at Christ the King parish on LSU’s campus.

In his free time, Dr. Hummel is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hike, hunt and fish. He also enjoys cheering on the LSU Fighting Tigers and Tottenham Hotspur F.C., reading, exercising, and spending time with friends and family.
